I would like to urge the members of the board of the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts to become reasonable and to work with the Sons of Confederate Veterans and the Citizens who are the unofficial so called Virginia Flaggers (aka) Virginia citizens, as IT IS TIME, to resolve the very simple issue of returning the Confederate Battle flags to the front of the Confederate Memorial Chapel.
Yes, you can remain stubborn and refuse, and all that will accomplish is to have 10-15 individuals weekly walk the sidewalks with much larger Confederate Battle flags, and to bring unwanted negative attention to the museum and deterring many who support the return of the flags, as well as many other potential visitors from visiting the museum as a result, this is not good policy or common sense.
The flags are the flags of our ancestors, they do not represent anything else, other than our brave ancestors who defended Virginia from an invasion. This is the facts, you cannot escape the truth and should not want to do so.
Political Correctness has no place in this, in fact Political Correctness is a Marxist idea and does not belong in the conversation, but the VMFA has injected in their faulty decisions. This chapel should not be a victim for some member of your origination to use as a tool to show hate and disrespect to a chapel, and all the history and memories that exists with the ancestors who live and breathe today and oppose this action and the resulting stress you are causing everyone.
DO WHAT IS RIGHT, WHAT IS LOGICAL, AND RETURN THE FLAGS AND LET THIS MATTER DIE AND BE FORGOTTEN.
